Lettering
- Built-in stitch fonts: Lettering (T) or the Lettering toolbox. Type the text, pick a font and height. These are already digitized and sew letter by letter, left to right.
- Font: click the font name to browse every font as a stitched preview of your own text. Search, filter (Script, Serif, Sans) and star your favorites so they come first.
- Stitch as: Satin (the font's columns), Fill (tatami letters), Outline (running stitch around each letter) or Appliqué (one placement, tack-down and satin cover for the whole word).
- Baseline: Straight, Arc, Full circle (letters spread right round), Wave (height and length), Vertical (letters stacked) or Along a line: select the lettering and a line (Shift+click) and click "Text on selected line".
- Envelope: Arch, Valley, Bulge, Pinch, Ramp up / down, with an amount. Slant leans the letters.
- Edit single letters: pick a letter and move it, resize it or turn it (kerning: move it left or right).
- Names (one file per name): type a list of names, one per line (| starts a second line), choose the machine format, and Export: you get a zip with a file per name. Everything else in the design stays the same.
- PC fonts: Lettering toolbox → Artwork text uses any font installed on your computer. It makes artwork shapes; convert them to Satin, Tatami or Auto. Converted text is sewn letter by letter in reading order, and the pieces of each letter are joined inside the letter (trims only between letters).
- Monogram and frames are in the Lettering / Monogramming toolbox.
