Getting started with Embella Studio

  1. Download and install. Get the installer from the download page, run it, and open Embella Studio from the Start menu.
  2. Sign in with the email and password of your account. The program then works offline for up to two weeks at a time.
  3. Choose your hoop. Click Hoop on the ribbon and pick your machine maker; the list shows every hoop for it. The hoop is drawn on the canvas.
  4. Add lettering. Press T, type your text, and pick a font in the Lettering panel on the right.
  5. Preview. Turn on TrueView for realistic stitches, or open the Mockup studio to see the design on a shirt or cap.
  6. Export. Click Export and choose your machine's format (PES for Brother and Baby Lock, DST for most commercial machines, JEF for Janome…).
